I am a law graduate of the College of Law at the University of South Africa and admitted Attorney in all courts in Botswana. He is also seasoned qualified chartered valuation surveyor, project manager and investment/business consultant and an astute businessman with extensive practical experience in fund management, pension fund asset consulting, risk management and compliance, project management, transactional advisory service and chartered property consultancy coupled with Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Botswana (UB – 1998) and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Land Administration from the Polytechnic of East London, London, United Kingdom (UK) in 1990.

Olebeng also possesses a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of South Africa (UNISA – 2009 – 2015), with six (6) distinctions in modules including constitutional law, advanced constitutional law and fundamental rights, media law, legal philosophy (law of jurisprudence), legal research and LLB Thesis. As such, he has suitable credentials for any position of leadership in the real estate, fund management, pension and business industries as well as the legal profession and procurement. Olebeng passed the prescribed Law Society of Botswana Bar Examinations for Attorneys and admitted to practice as Attorney in High Court of Botswana and all other courts of law in Botswana.

Most importantly, Olebeng has in-depth knowledge and prerequisite diverse skills, competence and experience to provide strategic leadership in fund management, pension fund asset consulting, transactional advisory, deal origination, structuring & execution, corporate real estate, detailed operational execution and business strategy gained over a combined period of 25 years (of which over 10 years was gained as an investment consultant in the fund management and pension industry and a Trustee of the statutory Citizen Entrepreneurial Mortgage Assistance Equity Fund (CEMAEF) in Botswana, South Africa and United Kingdom.

Olebeng was a Member of Board of Trustees of the statutory Citizen Entrepreneurial Mortgage Assistance Equity Fund (CEMAEF) for over 10 years contributing to the strategic direction of the investment policy and projects of the CEMAEF in Botswana. Olebeng has also participated in asset consulting for major pension funds including the Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund (BPOPF – defined contribution fund) for many years and forums advocating for enhancing of business environment for the fund management and pension fund industry, and private sector in Botswana and SADC region.

In 2008, Olebeng was part of the Novare Actuaries and Consultants Team that prepared and submitted a special report on the operations and governance model of the BPOPF duly commissioned by the Government of Republic of Botswana. In 2013, Olebeng was part of the Novare Actuaries and Consultants Team (in its capacity as appointed Asset Consultant of the BPOPF) prepared and submitted the transformational Investment Policy Statement (IPS) of the BPOPF (circa P40 billion in 2013) which was adopted and implemented by the Board of Trustees of BPOPF to


transform and grow the BPOPF to circa P50 billion 2015 as well as paved way for the first P500 million Private Equity Fund of the BPOPF, investment of the BPOPF in Puma Energy Botswana and diversified BPOPF Property Fund investment in property portfolio including the first Hilton Hotel development in Gaborone Botswana just to mention a few.

Moreover, over the years, Olebeng has provided property investment consultancy and strategies to major pension funds including the Debswana Pension Fund, CEDA Venture Capital Fund, Barclays Bank Staff Pension Fund and Standard Chartered Bank Staff Pension Fund, Dipula Income Fund (listed in Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)) just to mention a few.

Olebeng is a full Member of Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) of South Africa, as such has suitable credentials for providing fund management and investment advisory/pension asset consulting as well as performing duties as either as a Trustee of any statutory/private equity fund or pension fund or a Director or Chief Executive Officer of any corporate entity or parastatal.
